The apartment had great character and was located in a charming and quiet area of Dinan. It was an easy and picturesque walk into the centre. Lots to do in the area and we could easily have stayed longer and not run out of places to visit. Good parking on site.

We had a wonderful stay in Léhon in the Val Rive accommodation. So much so that we had trouble leaving this lovely place facing the Rance, with its abbey its village and castle in ruins. The accommodation is easy to access, with parking right across the street, clean and in every way as described. Its proximity to the historic center of Dinan, accessible less than 20 minutes from a very charming walk, is a real plus. All the benefits of historic Dinan while being a little more “in the countryside.” The walk along the Rance to the port of Dinan is also beautiful. We absolutely recommend this home to guests who want to experience this part of Brittany.

“Léhon has some nice corners and there is a lot to discover”

Pintadeau cottage is located in Léhon, a small little village in Brittany. Léhon is quite the bearer of “Le petit cité de caractère”. The cottage is located in a small garden and is functionally furnished for 4 people. The soundproofing of the building and the windows is good, so that you do not notice much from the traffic over the bridge of Léhon. Barbecue facilities are available. A car park is available in front of the house. Léhon has some nice corners and there is a lot to discover, from the Abbey to the castle ruin. It is also not far to the medieval town of Dinan. The caretaker Richard is on point for problems and resolves them quickly and competently with his friendly nature.

The location was amazing. On the River Rance, close to a Boulangerie, near a cafe/bar. Easy walk up to the town of Dinan. Wonderful walks along the Rance to the Port of Dinan. The House manager, Kim, was exceptional. Richard, groundskeeper and general handyman was the BEST!!!!! Thank you for having them on staff!!!!!

The location on the Rance River is excellent. Shops (Leclerc) in the neighbouring community of Lanvalley are quickly accessible by car. Direct parking was always available. The holiday resort of Dinan is very nice and so ideally located, so you can quickly get to San Malo, Dinard and Mont Saint Michel.

Léhon is a really charming village – more so than I had anticipated – and Dinan is picture postcard pretty. The Sisley apartment was comfy and well furnished. The host provided a spectacular welcome pack of info – the best I’ve come across. Lots of recommendations of things to see and restaurants that we may not otherwise have found.

This 2nd floor apartment is situated in Lehon beside a peaceful stone bridge over a quiet river. It is a short winding walk (25 mins) along the river’s edge to the Port of Dinan. There’s only one local fine dining restaurant in Lehon called the Le Marmite D’ Abbaye. Fantastic for an evening dinner out and located literally right around the corner from the apartment. Lehon was a great base for our 5 night stay. We travelled day trips all over Brittany from there. Wifi access was solid and host communication was absolutely first-rate. Highly recommended.

“Everything here that we needed”

Our lodgings were on the first floor, no lift, but wide stairs. Wonderful outlook to the River Rance and an idyllic 2km walk along the river to Dinan Port. Many walkers and cyclists and few cars through the area, but no noise at all. Short drive to a supermarket in Dinan and a short drive to Lanvallay where there is a washer/dryer facility at the local supermarket. There is a washing machine at the unit which is shared with other units, as is the hairdryer and ironing board. It worked well for us.

The village is very pretty and only a 30 minute walk to the Port of Dinan and it’s many restaurants. The apartment has everything we needed, although with no AC it may be a bit hot for some people in midsummer. The gardens are well-tended and a great space to have available.

Lehon is a beautiful small village on traditional lines. Wonderful walks along the river to Dinan which is a historical centre in its own rights. Try cycling and the river trips and don’t forget to climb the hill to the centre and visit the castle. There is so much to do you won’t have time for it all, but do try a day trip to the coast and enjoy the wide-open sandy beaches and more castles than you can shake a stick at. Never got to St. Malo so that’s a good reason to come back!

The apartment is as beautiful as described and as in the photos. We felt very well. Léhon is a good starting point for trips to the coast. We were only there for three days and would have liked to stay longer. In the neighborhood there is an outdoor pool.

Great location in a lovely village, 20 to 30 minutes walk to Dinan along the riverside path. We used it as a base to visit places such as Cap Frehel, Dinard, Mont Saint-Michel and Fougeres, all within an easy drive. The apartment is on the top floor with views over the river and garden. It is well equipped with a good-sized kitchen/lounge, two large bedrooms (1 double, 1 twin) and a good-sized bathroom (shower) it is nicely furnished and decorated. Very good communication from the owners and it was easy to gain access via secure key box. There is off-street parking next to the garden, however during busy periods this could be difficult and you may need to park opposite.

My wife and I stayed in Monet for two weeks and enjoyed what felt like a very relaxing stay. We rarely return to the same place for holidays however this is the fourth time we have taken a break at Val Rive. The apartments are so roomy, comfortable and well equipped that a visit here feels like returning home! The close proximity of Dinan, Dinard, the coast and the countryside surrounding the River Rance encourages walking and we estimate that we covered over 100 miles on foot during the fortnight there. A number of supermarkets are a short drive away and we found the fruit, vegetables and meat on sale to be of superior quality to that found locally at home in the UK. Another benefit of staying in or near Lehon is the Marmite restaurant which is within about 100 metres from Val Rive. The food is wonderful and the fixed price menu very affordable.

Our final comment is of the enjoyment of watching day visitors, runners, bikers and hikers arriving in the village by the narrow river bridge and stopping to take photographs and otherwise enjoy the views.

If you like history, this is the place to stay. If you like walking, you can combine the two interests. Half an hour’s walking takes you to the centre of Dinan or along the river Rance to Dinan’s port area. Lots to see and plenty of places to enjoy a coffee or a beer or a great meal. Near enough to the Brittany coast to dip your toes into the sea.

The cottage was perfect for our family of four, and the surrounding area exceptional. Dinan is by far the best town we have visited in 20 years of going to Europe!
