Our six self-catering apartments (Brandily, Degas, Sisley, Monet, Leonardo and Fryer) and two cottages (Rose and Le Pintadeau) are in the quiet petite cité de caractère Lehon, on the River Rance, a suburb of medieval Dinan. There is ample private parking and all apartments have views of the river because back in the 19th century this house was the mayor’s residence and is still no 1 Lehon. The mayor chose the best spot and Pintadeau was the coach house of a grand house. The grounds and mock tower extend to over an acre and the river frontage is 100 metres.

All of the accommodations are very well equipped and furnished to an excellent standard. The rooms are large and the emphasis is on comfort with modern showers and kitchens. The apartments are river-facing with their own personalities with original pieces of art that reflect this. Le Pintadeau Cottage has the bonus of its own private garden. Rose is tucked away but lays claim to be probably the oldest residential building in Lehon….14th century.

Val Rive is well-placed for walks, cycling or accessing local supermarkets. Cross the medieval bridge to the Lanvallay side and you can reach Rennes in 35 mins. Equally, go north or northwest and you can access St Malo or the incredible wide beaches of Brittany. You really are spoilt for choice on the beaches front.

The history of Brittany is personified by Lehon with its roman pillars in the famous abbey which is the next property on the river. The 12th-century castle overlooks the village which looks like a movie set. There is a boulangerie in walking distance. All in all, the location is very special.
